There's a new Chrome extension that helps you to invite all your friends to a Facebook event. I have not tried it yet myself but the reviews look good. Check it out here

Ha! The good news is that Facebook updated their Events function over the weekend so I am now writing a brand new post that goes through the process with all the new options for inviting and sharing. Business still can't invite their fans but Facebook has made it a great deal easier to invite all your friends to a Facebook event. Click to find out more about Using Facebook Events.

invite all friends to a facebook eventWith thanks to Search Engine Journal

1) Open Firefox and go to your Facebook page. In the dashboard at the top, go to the section at the bottom right above the cover image where it allows you to invite friends to like your page. Click See All

2) From the drop down menu, select “All Friends” instead of “Recent Interaction” so that you can invite all friends to your page. Scroll down till all of your friends are shown in the page.

3) Press Ctrl+Shift+K and a small window will appear at bottom.

4) Paste the below code in it and click enter.

javascript:elms=document.getElementsByName(“checkableitems[]“);for (i=0;i < elms.length;i++){if (elms[i].type=”checkbox” )elms[i].click()};

SEJ Caution: We are not aware of anyone ever getting in trouble for using the above Hacks, but in some cases they do bypass the intended functionality of Facebook, so be careful.

I tried this but, when the window opened at the bottom of the screen, I could not see where to paste the code. So it did not work for me. Let me know how you get on.

For some people, it might seem like a real chore to go through their long lists and individually invite people. I have not tested this as I don't think that all my friends would necessarily want to go to one particular event. However, according to a Facebook Page entitled How To Invite All Friends To Event/Book/Page, you can:

1. Open event > Invite Friends > Scroll down or to that part what you want invite > Copy this to adress field:

It's frustrating for businesses who set up their Facebook Page and then discover that there are restrictions when they try to invite all friends to a Facebook event. At first sight, it seems as if only the friends of the Admin who created the event can be invited, which is barmy when the event is being run by the Business not the Admin. They want to add those people who have gone to the trouble of liking their Page, not the personal friends of a particular Admin.

So, when Laura of Justice League Marketing announced that she had found a way to increase the reach of those invitations, I was all ears.

Create Your Facebook Event

invite all friends to facebook event 1First you need to create your event. Find the 'Events' option which will be situated in the left side bar of your Business Page as part of a list of options underneath the profile pic.

Fill out the details of what's happening and then you will be given the option to select guests that you would like to invite. Sadly, this is where it all starts to fall down. If you click that button, you as the Admin will be shown a list of your own personal friends NOT the people who have expressed an interest in your business by Liking the Business Page for whom the event is being promoted.

This is a major failing on the part of Facebook - because they want you to buy a Facebook Ad to promote this event to your fans! If you don't want to shell out your hard earned cash to extend your reach, here's an alternative.

How To Add Multiple Admins To A Facebook Event So They Can Invite All Their Friends

What Laura discovered was that you could add multiple Admins to the Event. These don't become Admins for the actual Page, just the event. If you're an Admin, you can invite your friends. Whilst it's still not going to get to all the people who have liked your Page, it does extend the reach so that you can physically invite the friends of all the Admins, rather than just hoping that they will see the Event shared on those people's walls.
